M. Brett Suchor, CFA, ASA
President

Brett’s experience speaks volumes. He has performed hundreds of valuation projects for private, public and Fortune 500 companies. A Chartered Financial Analyst and an Accredited Senior Appraiser, Brett is an expert in valuation and has performed appraisals for a variety of industries including financial, software and media. Brett shares his enthusiasm and knowledge in articles for national publications, at speaking engagements for professional organizations and as a valuation course instructor. He also serves on the ASA’s International Board of Examiners.

Experience

  • Columbia Financial Advisors, Inc., Associate-Mergers & Acquisitions. (Seattle, WA). One of two professionals in the Seattle office of this Portland, Oregon based investment banking and business appraisal firm. Assisted on valuation engagements and actively participated in several other projects including restricted stock studies, secondary offering analysis, fairness opinions and the sale of privately held companies.
  • Quist Financial, Inc., (Boulder, CO). Performed valuation analysis for middle-market valuations of privately held corporations.
  • The Chicago Corporation, Assistant Trader. (Chicago, IL). Confirmed trades, tracked open positions and managed a team of runners on the Chicago Board Options Exchange in the S&P 100 Options Index (OEX).


Merger, Acquisition and Valuation Results
  • Performed over 500 valuation projects for privately held companies in a number of industries including Internet services, software, hardware, forest products, insurance, telecommunication, banking, transportation, manufacturing, distribution and media industries. Estimated shareholder damages for Benjamin Franklin Savings and Loan Association, the largest seized thrift in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Completed over $120 million of middle-market transactions for clients in the financial institution and media industries. Ranked second in the Western U.S. by Bank Mergers and Acquisitions Scoreboard among Financial Advisors in number of completed transactions through the first nine months of 1997.
