Tom has performed hundreds of business and securities valuations for financial reporting, corporate finance, tax purposes, intellectual property, restricted stock and purchase price allocations. At previous engagements, he managed $155 million in total equity assets and fixed income and convertible portfolios worth $210 million. In addition, Tom’s diverse experiences as a senior portfolio manager and an equity analyst, specializing in IPOs, venture capital and international business, adds a worldly perspective to the team.

Experience

  • Thunderbird International Asset Management, Inc., Senior Portfolio Manager. (Boulder, CO). Managed private family domestic and offshore trusts. International and domestic equity analyst of publicly traded companies. Effectuated dynamic hedge strategies on all foreign currency denominated assets and derivative products. Actively managed IPO portfolio, devoted specifically to domestic and international new issues. Total equity assets under management was $155 million. Fixed income and convertible portfolio assets totaled $210 million.
  • Robert W. Baird & Company, Assistant Equity Portfolio Manager and Research Associate. (Milwaukee, WI). Primary focus was on IPO valuations, management interviews, buy/sell decisions and portfolio management. Equity analysis included valuation of aggressive growth and small capitalization securities. Total assets under management were $350 million.
Valuation and Industry Analysis Results
  • Participated in over 200 valuation engagements for public and privately held companies in a number of industries including construction, business services, manufacturing, medical devices, oil and gas, software and telecommunications.
  • Conducted intrinsic debt and equity valuations of more than 100 IPOs for purchase purposes in industries such as consumer products, Internet services, retail distribution, software and telecommunications.
